Best for
Sensitive, post-treatment, reactive, and acne-prone skin. The cleanser I reach for when a client's skin is in recovery mode — whether from a peel, an aggressive acne protocol, or chronic over-exfoliation. Also excellent as a daily cleanser for anyone with a damaged or delicate skin barrier.
How to use
Apply a small amount to damp skin and massage gently using circular motions. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water — avoid hot water which can trigger reactivity. Pat dry with a clean towel, never rub. Use morning and evening.

My skin is extremely reactive — is this really gentle enough?
Yes — this is the gentlest cleanser in the Face Reality lineup and one of the mildest I carry across all brands. The dual surfactant system (cocamidopropyl betaine and decyl glucoside) is used in baby products and sensitive-skin formulations specifically because of how mild it is. If you've reacted to other gentle cleansers, this is the one to try.
Can I use this after a chemical peel or laser treatment?
Yes — this is exactly what I recommend post-peel and post-laser. In the days after a treatment when skin is raw and reactive, a mild cleanser is the most important product in your routine. This one cleanses effectively without causing stinging, redness, or further compromise to the barrier.
Does this remove sunscreen and makeup?
It removes light makeup and water-based products effectively. For heavy makeup or waterproof sunscreen, I recommend a cleansing balm or oil cleanser as a first step (like the Sorella Apothecary Melt Away), followed by this as your second cleanse. Double cleansing ensures thorough removal without over-stripping.
Is this suitable for acne-prone skin even though it's so gentle?
Absolutely. One of the most common mistakes I see is acne clients using cleansers that are too harsh — stripping the skin triggers more oil production and makes acne worse. A gentle cleanser removes what needs to be removed without disrupting the skin's balance. The witch hazel and licorice in this formula also provide mild toning and calming benefits specifically useful for acne-prone skin.
