What makes it different

A standard lash lift glues and shapes lashes onto a curved rod all at once. The Korean method works differently. Instead of forcing the lash into a single aggressive shape, the process is broken into controlled stages that prioritize lash health and precision placement throughout.

The formula itself is also different. Where traditional lash lifts use a thioglycolic perm solution, which is stronger, the Korean method uses a cysteamine-based lifting lotion, a low-pH, amino-acid formula that restructures the lash without over-processing it. The result is a lift that is genuinely softer, more flexible, and far less likely to cause the crispy, over-processed tips that can happen if your lashes need extra time to process or you heard they are "stubborn."

Jasmine Skin Care + Lash Studio is known for precision lash work, and the Korean Lash Lift is the most technically refined service we offer. If you have tried a standard lash lift and wanted more, this is the next level.

Who is it BEST for:

  • Clients who have tried a standard lash lift and want a more refined, elevated result
  • Straight, coarse, or downward-facing lashes that are resistant to standard lifting techniques
  • Anyone who wants a lifted, elongated, wide-eye appearance without extensions or daily mascara
  • Clients who want a lash service that prioritizes lash health alongside the result
  • Anyone who has experienced over-processed or damaged lashes from previous lash treatments.

Key benefits

  • Cysteamine formula is significantly gentler than traditional perming chemicals, protecting lash integrity throughout the process
  • Glueless ultra-flat shield application reduces tension and mechanical stress on the lash root
  • Two-stage process allows for customized lift patterns rather than a one-size-fits-all result
  • Particularly effective for stubborn, straight, or coarse lashes that do not respond well to standard lifts
  • Results last 6 to 8 weeks with proper aftercare
  • No extensions, no daily mascara, no maintenance between appointments

Add a facial to your appointment. Jasmine is a licensed esthetician, skincare expert, author, and researcher with 25 years of experience and over 25,000 facials performed. While you are here, consider pairing your lash lift with a customized facial treatment.

Educational facials, silent, meditative facial appointments or a MIX of both available. Ask at booking.

Jasmine's note

"The Korean Lash Lift is the service I reach for when a client wants something more precise than a standard lift can deliver, particularly for lashes that are naturally straight or resistant, or for anyone who has been disappointed by a lash lift result before. The cysteamine formula changes the entire experience. The lash stays healthy and flexible rather than stiff, and the two-stage technique allows me to customize the lift pattern to the specific shape of your eye rather than applying a generic curve to every client. The tint finish is what takes it from polished to complete. If you have never had a lash lift you love, this is the one to try."

Appointment options

  • Focused lash appointment — Korean Lash Lift + Tint only, 75 to 90 minutes
  • Lash + skin appointment — Korean Lash Lift + Tint paired with a customized facial service. Ask about availability at booking.
  • Educational appointment — Learn about your skin, your lashes, and how to care for both at home. Ideal for new clients who want to understand before they commit to a protocol.
  • Silent, meditative appointment — For clients who want a fully restorative, non-conversational experience. You are in good hands. No talking required.

How to prepare for your appointment

The short version: arrive with completely bare lashes, no eye makeup, no contacts, and skip the extra coffee/matcha/red bull.

Day of your appointment

  • Arrive with completely bare lashes, free of mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow.
  • Remove contact lenses before your appointment and bring your glasses. This prevents eye irritation during the service.
  • Do not apply heavy moisturizers, oils, or eye creams around the eye area.
  • Skip the extra cup of coffee or energy drink. Caffeine can cause eye movement and sensitivity. Calm eyes make for a better result.
  • If you have a spray tan, make sure there is no residual product on your lashes before arriving.
  • Do not use oily makeup remover the day before or the day of your appointment. Oil creates a barrier that can interfere with the lifting solution and affect your outcome.

48 hours before

  • Stop using waterproof mascara. Waterproof formulas leave stubborn residue that blocks the lifting solution and affects your result.
  • Pause lash growth serums such as Latisse or any branded growth formula. For best results, stop a week prior.
  • Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler for at least 24 hours prior.

Please reschedule if

  • You have an active eye infection, pink eye, or stye.

After your appointment

The first 24 hours are the most important for preserving your result.

First 24 hours

  • Keep lashes completely free of water, steam, and any product. No washing your face over the eye area, no steam rooms, no swimming.
  • Sleep on your back or side and avoid anything that will flatten your lashes, including face-down massages. This is important for maintaining the shape of your newly lifted lashes.

Ongoing care

  • Condition your lashes daily after the initial 24 hours using a lash conditioning serum. Your lashes have undergone a chemical reshaping and are drier than usual. Daily conditioning maintains their health and extends your result. Apply conditioner just before mascara if you wear it.
  • Brush lashes daily with a clean mascara wand. With eyes closed, gently roll the brush over the tips to detangle, then open and adjust with the brush.
  • Avoid oil-based eye makeup removers around the lash line as they can break down the lift over time.
  • Lash growth serums may be resumed after the initial 24 hours. Note that growth serums accelerate the natural lash cycle, which may mean lifted lashes shed a little sooner and you may want to return for your next appointment earlier than usual.

What to expect over time

Your lifted lashes will last as long as your natural lash cycle, approximately 90 to 100 days in total. Over that time you will notice gradual reduction in fullness as lifted lashes shed and new straight lashes grow in to replace them. This is completely normal. To avoid double-processing and get the longest enjoyment from your lift, wait at least 4 weeks before scheduling your next appointment. Clients with oily skin or who sweat frequently may find results do not last quite as long.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a regular lash lift?

A standard lash lift uses a single-stage process with a traditional perming formula and a curved rod. The Korean method uses a gentler cysteamine-based formula, a glueless ultra-flat shield application, and a two-stage softening and setting process that allows for more precise, customized results with significantly less risk of damage.

Will this work on my lashes if they are very straight or coarse?

Yes. The Korean method is specifically well-suited for straight, coarse, or resistant lashes that do not lift well with standard techniques. The cysteamine formula is highly effective on stubborn lash types that traditional perming solutions struggle with.

Is the tint included in the price?

Yes. The tint is optional but included in the $165 service price. It is recommended for the complete result but not required if you prefer to skip it. The price is the same.

How long will the appointment take?

Plan for approximately 75 to 90 minutes. The Korean method takes a little longer than a standard lash lift because of the two-stage process, but that additional time is what allows for the more precise and longer-lasting result.

Can I wear mascara after a Korean Lash Lift?

You can, but most clients find they do not need to, especially with the tint finish. If you do wear mascara, use a water-based formula and avoid waterproof mascara, which requires an oil-based remover that can break down the lift over time.

Can I add a facial to my lash appointment?

Yes. Jasmine offers facial services that can be paired with your lash lift appointment. Educational consultations and silent meditative appointments are also available. Mention at booking that you are interested in adding a skin service and we will build the timing accordingly.
