Best for

How to use
Apply 2-3 drops to cleansed skin while still slightly damp, morning and evening. Press gently into skin rather than rubbing. Allow to absorb for 30-60 seconds before applying moisturizer. Layering on damp skin maximizes the hydrating effect.

My skin is oily — why do I need a hydrating serum?
Oily skin and hydrated skin are two completely different things. Your skin can be oily on the surface and deeply dehydrated at the same time — which is actually very common, especially in Los Angeles where the climate fluctuates. When skin lacks water it produces more oil to compensate, creating a cycle of oiliness that gets worse the more you try to strip it. Adding water-based hydration breaks that cycle. This serum hydrates without adding any oil or congesting pores.
What makes the L-form of sodium hyaluronate special?
Standard sodium hyaluronate sits on the skin's surface and hydrates from the outside in. The L-form used in this serum is a chirally-correct version that penetrates more deeply into the skin, delivering hydration at a deeper level for longer-lasting results. It's a more refined and effective form of the ingredient — the kind of detail that separates a professional formulation from a drugstore product.
Can I use this while I'm on an acne treatment protocol?
Yes — and I actively recommend it. Acne treatments like benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid can be dehydrating, and dehydrated skin tolerates actives less well. Adding Hydrabalance helps skin stay hydrated enough to respond to your treatment products more effectively. Apply it first on damp skin, let it absorb, then apply your treatment serum on top.
This serum contains essential oils — is it safe for sensitive skin?
The aromatic botanicals in this formula — rose, sandalwood, lavender, ylang ylang, orange peel — are all natural and present at low concentrations. Most clients tolerate them well. If you have extreme fragrance sensitivity or known reactions to essential oils, I recommend the HydraRemedy Gel Serum as an unfragranced alternative.
