Hale & Hush Jojoba Scrub — gentle exfoliating polish with jojoba beads, yogurt, and microbiome-boosting peptides for sensitive skin

Size: 3.48 oz | Format: Flip-Cap Tube | Use: 2–3 times per week after cleansing

What it does for your skin

This gentle polish uses natural jojoba beads suspended in a mild cleansing base to physically exfoliate the skin's surface — removing dead cells, unclogging pores, and revealing a brighter, more even complexion. What sets it apart from typical scrubs is what happens beneath the surface: two advanced peptides actively rebuild the microbiome and reinforce the skin barrier while the beads polish. Yogurt adds barrier-repairing protein and antimicrobial calm.

The result is smooth, glowing skin with zero irritation — rare in an exfoliant, especially for sensitive skin types.

Key benefits

  • Gently exfoliates with non-abrading natural jojoba beads — no micro-tears, no irritation
  • Calms sensitive and reactive skin — reduces redness and discomfort during and after exfoliation
  • Evens skin tone and reveals a brighter, more refined complexion
  • Provides antioxidant support at the exfoliation step
  • Repairs and reinforces barrier function — rebuilds while it polishes
  • Microbiome-boosting peptides restore beneficial bacteria and strengthen vulnerable skin
  • Yogurt conditions the stratum corneum and reduces trans-epidermal water loss
  • Pinus Cembra Wood Extract calms hypersensitivity and reduces inflammation-related redness
  • Gluten-free formulation
  • Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free

Best for

Sensitive skin types who want effective exfoliation without the irritation that most scrubs cause. This is also ideal for reactive, rosacea-prone, or barrier-compromised skin — the peptide complex and yogurt are actively repairing while the jojoba beads work.

How to use

Massage a generous amount onto moistened face and neck for up to two minutes, adjusting time based on your skin's sensitivity. Avoid the eye area. Rinse thoroughly with cool water and pat dry. Follow with toner, serum, and moisturizer. Always apply SPF in the morning when using this product. Use 2–3 times per week. Do not use on cracked or broken skin.

Why Jasmine Skin Care loves it

"Most exfoliants ask sensitive skin to choose between results and comfort. This one refuses that trade-off. What I love about the Jojoba Scrub is that the peptide complex is doing real repair work while the beads exfoliate — you're not just polishing the surface, you're strengthening the foundation underneath. Clients who have avoided exfoliants for years because of irritation consistently tell me this is the first one that actually feels good on their skin. The jojoba beads are truly non-abrading — they're round and smooth, nothing like the sharp edges of walnut shell or sugar scrubs. And the yogurt leaves the skin feeling conditioned rather than stripped. This is the exfoliant I recommend to every sensitive skin client who asks."

Key ingredients

  • Jojoba Esters (Beads) — tiny natural jojoba beads provide non-abrading physical exfoliation; perfectly round and smooth, they lift surface debris and unclog pores without the micro-tears caused by angular scrub particles; safe for sensitive and reactive skin
  • Pinus Cembra Wood Extract — calms skin hypersensitivity and reduces visible redness associated with inflammation; an ideal ingredient for reactive complexions that need to exfoliate without triggering a response
  • Acetyl Hexapeptide-49 — targets discomfort and itchiness in sensitive skin; increases hydration levels and works to restore the structural integrity of the skin barrier from within
  • Acetyl Heptapeptide-4 — promotes healthy microbiota balance by encouraging an increase in beneficial bacteria; strengthens vulnerable skin by supporting optimal barrier function and preventing dehydration
  • Yogurt & Yogurt Extract — rich in protein with moisturizing properties that hydrate the stratum corneum by decreasing trans-epidermal water loss; also provides antimicrobial and calming effects that complement the exfoliation process
  • Allantoin — skin-soothing botanical compound that promotes cell renewal, reduces irritation, and softens skin; often paired with exfoliants to counterbalance any sensitivity
  • Panthenol (Vitamin B5) — humectant and skin-conditioning agent that draws moisture into the skin and supports barrier recovery after exfoliation
  • Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate — a natural ferment-derived preservative with skin-conditioning properties; supports the microbiome-friendly intent of the formula
  • Glycerin — foundational humectant that draws moisture to the skin's surface and maintains hydration throughout the exfoliation process

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this if I have rosacea or very reactive skin?

Yes — this is one of the few exfoliants appropriate for rosacea-prone and highly reactive skin. The jojoba beads are non-abrading and round, so they polish without triggering mechanical irritation. The Pinus Cembra Wood Extract and peptide complex are actively calming while the exfoliation happens. That said, always patch test first and start with once per week, increasing frequency only as your skin tolerates it. If you're in an active flare, hold off until skin is calm.

What makes jojoba beads different from other scrub particles?

Most physical scrubs use angular particles — ground walnut shell, sugar, salt, apricot kernel — that have irregular, sharp edges capable of creating micro-tears in the skin. Jojoba beads are perfectly spherical and smooth. They roll across the skin surface, loosening dead cells and debris through gentle mechanical action without cutting the skin. This is why the Jojoba Scrub works for sensitive skin types that cannot tolerate traditional scrubs.

How often should I use this?

Two to three times per week is the recommended range for most skin types. Start with once per week if your skin is highly sensitive or barrier-compromised, and work up gradually.

Do I need SPF after using this?

Always — but especially when you are actively exfoliating. Exfoliation removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells and temporarily increases photosensitivity. Freshly exfoliated skin is more vulnerable to UV damage and hyperpigmentation if not protected. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 every morning on any day you have exfoliated, without exception.
