What's the difference between this and the powerMineral SPF 50?

Two key differences: SPF level and finish. The powerMineral SPF 50 has a higher SPF with a richer base that includes ceramides — better for clients with dry or compromised skin. The Mineral Matte SPF 28 is specifically designed for oily skin with a genuinely matte finish. For maximum protection, especially in sunny Los Angeles, I recommend the SPF 50 — but if the matte finish is what gets you to actually wear SPF every day, that's the better choice for you.

Is SPF 28 enough for daily use?

SPF 28 filters about 96% of UVB rays, compared to SPF 50's 98%. For daily indoor use with limited sun exposure it's adequate. If you're spending extended time outdoors, driving, or sitting near windows, I recommend upgrading to SPF 50. In Los Angeles especially, I always push clients toward the highest SPF they'll actually use consistently.

Will this work under foundation or makeup?

Yes — the matte finish actually makes it an excellent makeup base. Apply, allow 1-2 minutes to set, then apply foundation as normal. Many clients with oily skin find they need less powder or blotting throughout the day when they use this as their base.

Does this contain parabens or synthetic fragrance?

No to both. The formula uses a natural preservation system based on honeysuckle extract, gluconolactone, and radish root ferment — no parabens, no synthetic fragrance.
